Home Improvement on the City of Melbourne

Home owners from Melbourne have pay out a lot of money on renovations than anywhere across the country for almost 2 year in arrow. While in the city of Victoria they also spend $1.66 billion last year on property improvements.

Statistics on home improvements stated that the figures released by the Australian Bureau of Statistics this month also show NSW residents spent $1.62bn on home improvements, while $1.18bn was spent in Queensland and $630m in Western Australia

Since people in Melbourne are now more confident than before to their economy, that is why the percent of the inquiry for home renovations and improvements has been increased.

Jason Anderson, the senior manager of building and construction at BIS Shrapnel said the people from Sydney on the other hand are spending their money traditionally on their homes. “The gap has been closing for the last five years and, in that time, Melbourne has been catching up and (has) overtaken it,” he added.

From the stated report and fact from Australian Property Monitors the city’s median house price increasing by up to 18.5 per cent during 2009.
